Daiichi Sankyo UK is proud to share The Next Ten: Accelerating Ambition in Cancer Care, a co-created report developed based on insights from leading cancer patient groups and research charities. Through a series of in-depth interviews and a collaborative policy workshop, we explored what the next ten years of cancer care could – and should – look like in the UK.
The UK is in a strong position to take advantage of successes from the last decade to show leadership in early diagnosis, innovative treatment, and holistic patient care.
This report sets out a bold, optimistic vision – bringing together the ambitions of the patient community. It envisions a future where research and treatment innovations are paired with better access, equity and whole-person care.
This report was organised and funded by Daiichi Sankyo. We would like to extend our gratitude to the patient organisations that contributed to this report by providing their insights during the interview series or at our policy workshop. Without their time and effort, this report will not have been possible. Patient organisations were offered reimbursement for their time to review the contents of the report.
We launched The Next Ten at a parliamentary reception in the House of Commons, bringing together parliamentarians and patient organisations to align on a future-focused agenda for cancer care and treatment.
Daiichi Sankyo remains committed to amplifying patient voices, shaping forward-thinking policy, and championing the innovations that will define cancer care in the UK for the next ten years.
