Rebecca Shuttleworth

Hospital Account Executive

What is your role at Daiichi Sankyo?

I am a hospital account executive working in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. I work as the local representative for our cardiovascular portfolio to the secondary care teams across the NHS in the area.

What motivates you to work for Daiichi Sankyo?

I chose to come to work for Daiichi Sankyo 12 years ago because I wanted to work for a company that listens to its individual employees and responds. I have worked for some other pharmaceutical companies where I felt very much that I was just a number. The company is very focused on trying to change the way the pharma industry work with healthcare providers.

How would you describe the working culture at Daiichi Sankyo?

It is very dynamic and fast paced! People look to work together to find answers and positive outcomes, you don’t get the response ‘it’s not my job’, everyone works together to get the best solution. There are lots of opportunities to develop yourself and to work on innovative projects.

What is special about working at Daiichi Sankyo?

I love that I have been able to work across our whole cardiology portfolio and obviously the people I get to work with! I have had some great fun over the years working with people from across the company, country and Europe.

How do you ensure a patient-centric approach in your daily work?

I think that it is really driven by the individual. I make sure that I always try and work together with any healthcare professional (HCP) to help them achieve what they need. It is the little things that make a difference, always delivering what you promised, always responding to contacts, being realistic in what we can do to help the HCP and therefore the patient. People drive a culture.
