What is your role at Daiichi Sankyo?
I am a regional trainer at Daiichi Sankyo. My role essentially is supporting others to become the best versions of themselves. What that means is designing and running training courses and coaching individuals on a 1:1 and group basis. The role is flexible enough to allow me to get involved in project work such as supporting the Compliance Officer with training and working closely with the brand team in ensuring the success of the business.
What motivates you to work for Daiichi Sankyo?
Even though Daiichi Sankyo has grown over the last couple of years we have maintained the small company feel that enables conversations to take place across the whole company. Everybody’s door is open which makes me feel that my contribution matters. Success in my role results in patients’ lives being improved which really motivates me.
How would you describe the working culture at Daiichi Sankyo?
There is a culture that focusses on getting the job done in an ethical way whilst enjoying what we do. Even when the pressure is on to deliver training, the team comes together to support each other.
What is special about working at Daiichi Sankyo?
There are many companies that have initiatives to support their staff, at Daiichi Sankyo I believe that Looking After You, our wellbeing programme, is delivered with real integrity and demonstrates how much individuals are valued by the company.
How do you ensure a patient-centric approach in your daily work?
I always have the picture of my late father in my mind when thinking about creating and delivering training and supporting the teams with coaching. I saw the impact that a stroke had on him and it helps me create patient pictures for the people I interact with to help them understand that what we do at Daiichi Sankyo is far more important than “selling a product”.
