Production

At our production plants in Pfaffenhofen (Germany) and Altkirch (France) we produce medicinal products according to the highest industry standards of GMP (Good Manufactory Practice).

State of the art equipment and full automation in accordance with the latest technology secures constantly high production quality. Our production facilities are in possession of all the necessary licenses issued by the national authorities and the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Last year, 25 million packs and 1.2 billion tablets was dispatched from Pfaffenhofen to over 50 countries worldwide.

 

The completion and official opening of our extended production plant in Pfaffenhofen this year, allows us a gradual rise in the production volume to more than 40 millions packs and approximately 4 billion tablets per year. 

In Pfaffenhofen, located 60 km in the northern direction of Munich, around 360 employees are involved in the production of pharmaceutical bulk, finished goods and clinical samples.

In the Pharmaceutical Development Department more than 70 employees work on development projects for DAIICHI SANKYO worldwide. The manufacturing activities comprise of a biotechnological production (vaccines in solid forms), the production of semisolid and liquid pharmaceuticals (ointments, gels, liquids) and the production of solids (tablets, film coated and sugar coated tablets).
