The company engages in additional activities dedicated to the specific needs of the different stakeholder groups. The European affiliates of Daiichi Sankyo, for instance, support many professional and patient organisations, including the Deutsche Diabetes Stiftung (German Association for Diabetes), the Comité Français de Lutte contre l′Hypertension Artérielle (French Committee for the Fight against Hypertension), or the Sociedade Portuguesa de Menopausa (Portuguese Society of Menopause). These activities help to increase knowledge and raise awareness about many serious diseases.

Daiichi Sankyo also assists young researchers by recognising excellent study results with awards as well as supporting special research projects. In addition, the company′s European affiliates promote intercultural exchanges between Japan and Europe.

Daiichi Sankyo Europe also supports numerous projects outside Europe: The European headquarters of Daiichi Sankyo supports a Thai village (Baan Gerda) for orphaned children infected with HIV. The Italian affiliate of Daiichi Sankyo teamed up with the Rome-based Project Marco to provide healthcare support as well as nutrition and education to people in Malawi and Cameroon. Through the French organisation TULIPE, people in crisis areas or victims of natural disasters quickly receive basic medical support. Moreover, Daiichi Sankyo France is one of the sponsors of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfant du Monde, an association organising surgery for children with heart defects.
